A dislocated shoulder will potentially result in a tear or injury to the rotator cuff tendons because the rotator cuff muscles was not anymore attached to the head of the humerus and this type of injury is called a traumatic tear. The torn in the muscle will cause inflammation, tenderness and pain in the cuff.
