The visualization step allows the audience to imagine what will happen if the speaker's plan is implemented and is successful.
When a speaker is talking to an audience they are trying to capture them by painting a picture in their head. Their goal is to capture them and make them 'see' what they are talking about. When you are able to visualize it, you can see something that isn't actually right in front of you.
