It was Texas. It had a record breaking $279.5 billion worth of goods abroad in 2013 according to the US Trade Representative, Michael Froman. Its largest trade partner was Mexico and during that time, it was recorded that the state's manufacturers earned $100.9 billion in merchandise sales in Mexico.
