The answer is Maoris. New Zealand’s largest ethnic minority group, whose roots are Polynesian, is recognized as the Maoris. In addition, the historic 1840 arrangement amongst the Maori and Europeans in New Zealand is recognized as the contract of Waitangi. However much of internal Australia is desert, most of interior new Zealand is mountainous. The Pacific area named Polynesia is enclosed exclusively in a huge triangle whose angles are new Zealand, easter island, and Hawaiian islands.
