9c = -23 -4

9c = -27

c = -27/9

c = -3

Hey there,
9c + 4 = - 23
9c = -23 - 4
9c = -27
c = -27 / 9
   = - 3
Whenever a number crosses an equal sign, it become its opposite. For example- when 4 crosses an equal sign it becomes - 4
