5/8 + 5/8
You can do this easily as both fractions have the same denominator.
So just add the 5 + 5 together to combine the fraction like so:
10/8
OR
1  2/8
raisetheroof


10/8, which then becomes 5/4.

Because this is an improper fraction it must be simplified to 1 and 1/5.
