Let x: pen, y: pencil

6x+4y=1.08

4x+3y=0.75

Or
12x+8y=2.16

12x+9y=2.25
=
-y=-0.09
y=$0.09
x=$0.12

5y=$0.45
5x=$0.60. As a result, 5 pens costs $0.6 and 5 pencils cost $0.45. Hope it help!
