To calculate the distance from the center of dilation, we shall multiply the scale factor by the distance fom the corresponding length on the pre-image.

This means;

[tex]\begin{gathered} QM^{\prime}=2\times QM \\ QM^{\prime}=2\times3 \\ QM^{\prime}=6 \end{gathered}[/tex]

The length of QM' is 6 units
