Shirt + tie = $ 58

shirth = 30 more than that of tie

let the price of tie be X

therefore the price of shirt = 30 + X

30 + X + X = 58

30 + 2x = 58

2x = 58 - 30

2x= 28

x = 14

x + 30

= 14 + 30

Cost of tie = $14

Cost of shirt = $44
