What is 4 x 1/3 I don’t understand because I was using an old method to do this and it isn’t working plz help

It’s 1 1/3 or 4/3 you simply multiply 4/1*1/3 and multiply 4*1 as the numerator and multiply 1 and 3 as the denominator to get an answer of 4/3
