answer: 20.6155

Input Data :

Point 1

( x A , y A )  = (-3, -2)

Point 2

( x B , y B )  = (-11, 17)

Objective :

Find the distance between two given points on a line?

Formula :

Distance between two points =  √ ( x B − x A ) 2 + ( y B − y A ) 2

Solution :

Distance between two points =  √ ( − 11 −  − 3 ) 2 + ( 17 −  − 2 ) 2

=√ ( − 8 ) 2 + 19 2

=  √ 64 + 361

=  √ 425  = 20.6155

Distance between points (-3, -2) and (-11, 17) is 20.6155
