Answer:

A) 5X+6=2X+30

    6 = -3X+ 30 (Subtracted 5X from both sides)

   -24 = -3X (Subtracted 30 from both sides)

     8 = X (divide -3 from both sides)

B) Isolate the variable by dividing each side by factors that don't contain the variable.  x = 8
