Explanation:

An ISO of 100 with less exposure and f/16 would be the ideal setting for photography on a bright sunny day that one can have a day out in.

Low ISO makes the exposure to the sun less drastic and brings out the color and depth perception in the picture.

In darker times, the ISO is increased to achieve similar quality of detail in pictures as is achieved with low ISO in sunny days.
