It helped the slave masters earn more money by sell the cotton, since it was so easy to get the seeds out of the cotton. it was because of the cotton gin it made it easier for the slaves to take out the seeds from the cottons.

Basically, it made the slaves work more faster. The cotton production rapidly increased , bringing in more money. In fact, the cotton gin was so unique back then, someone back in the 1800s tried to remake it , and make money off of it.
