How do you figure out escape velocity

Equation

KE. + PE. = KEf + PEf

By the time the Rocket reaches an infinete distance the KEf and PEf  power would be down to zero so then the equation will become KE. + PE. = 0

Cant explain much because dont know if this anserw recwires any speical things to solve it
