I remember this strategy from my Sophomore year of high school, along with some middle school. It's called the 'Cornell Notes' strategy. The paper usually has a large spacing for taking notes, then there is a keypoint section on the side, along with a summary located on the bottom of the sheet, if I remember correctly in regards of this.
