A square has vertices J(–1, 4), U(5, 4), M(5, –2), P(–1, –2). After a dilation, square J U M P has vertices J(–0.5, 2), U(2.5, 2), M(2.5, –1), P(–0.5, –1). What is the scale factor of the dilation?

The scale factor would be multiplies by half because 1x.5=.5. And it did that with all the numbers so the answer is .5
