k = - [tex]\frac{2}{3}[/tex] → A

the equation for direct variation is y = kx ( k is the constant of variation )

thus k = [tex]\frac{y}{x}[/tex]

given - 6y = 4x is a direct variation equation then

k = [tex]\frac{4}{- 6}[/tex] = - [tex]\frac{2}{3}[/tex]

k =
