Choice C is the answer
-8c is a monomial because it is one term

Something like 2x+3y has two terms because a plus sign separates the monomials 2x and 3y. Similarly, 5z-2q has two terms as well (the terms being 5z and -2q) because we can write 5z-2q as 5z+(-2q)
