A room is in the shape of a rectangle. The width of the room is 2 feet longer than two thirds the length. If the room is 33 feet long, what is the area?

y------> the width of the room

we know that
y=2+(2/3)*x-----> equation 1
x=33 ft

substitute the value of x in the equation 1 
y=2+(2/3)*33----> y=2+22----> y=24 ft

find the area of the room
area=24*33-----> 792 ft²

the answer is
the area of the room is 792 ft²
