5. State Actions on Minimum Wage
President Obama’s proposal to increase the federal minimum wage to $10.10 from $7.25 is unlikely to pass through Congress, but several states have been tackling the issue on their own. The New York Times created a table of the current minimum wage in each state and the District of Columbia, along with recent increases enacted or being considered.
